For the last two years, I’ve been employed as a teacher of Drama, Music and Technology at two schools in Sydney, Australia. I’ve had less and less time to devote to web design, and my time has instead been taken up with thinking about how best to use technology in Education, as well as learning how to design and make more real-world things like stage props and costumes and sets.
So. Fair warning. The content on this website is going to change a bit. There’s going to be more posts about creativity, more about education, and more of my own creative projects. You’ve already seen some of this in the form of music I’ve been working on this year.
The other thing to change has been this website itself. When I was working as web developer full time, I took pride in crafting my site from scratch, using (at various points) CodeIgniter, or CakePHP (I even had a Python and Flask version in the works at one point). Now, however, I simply don’t have time to do that. The site is now running WordPress. I’ll get around to re-theming it at some point, but for the moment, I’m focused on the content. I have a limited amount of time to devote to this now, and I’d prefer to spend it on writing and making things, rather than coding websites.
So — there you are. The builder’s house is never finished. More to come.
